The Politics Of Corruption
“Nigerians only condemn corruption when they are not the beneficiaries of it.”
– Max Siollun “Soldiers of Fortune”
That’s why you have some people that will swear that Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was not corrupt, while you have another set of people that will staunchly oppose any claims that Olusegun Obasanjo was corrupt while yet another group will kung-fu kick you if you allege that Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida stole!
At the end of the day we base our ethos of corruption subconsciously on how it benefits us.
We must end the corruption discrimination and treat all corruption as equal regardless of race, ethnicity or gender. Corruption is and should be corruption no matter how it benefited or benefits us!
