I agree in a different way …

I really don’t think the language barrier is the key problem for Africans. The key problem (I believe) is that our currency and money cannot talk to each other.

Example…

I traveled to Ghana where I was required to present a Yellow Fever card (like really!), then I went to a Ghanaian GTBank ATM to use it with my Nigerian GTBank card, only to be told that it does not work! Like GTBank Nigeria and Ghana are not connected!

Really!

It’s basically far easier to do business Nigeria-Canada-Ghana than it is to do Nigeria-Ghana.

The day our currencies can talk to each other … when Naira and Cedi’s can yan and gist with South African Rand without the need for a translator that charges exorbitant prices for conversion. Until that day, Africa will not be a scalable option.
