I am so excited!

After what seems to be like an eternity … actually its 1 year, 7 months, and 17 days. 34 minutes and 12 seconds from the day I wrote the original AFRO blog article, the book is finally complete!

Not complete as we have edited it and sent to the printers. Complete as in after numerous custom clearance headache it is finally available in Nigeria, as in the physical copy. As in … I am now officially a published author of a children’s book, even though I still am scared of children.

Anyway, I really need your help. We need to sell the life out of this book to impress the publishers to invest in even more copies. It costs less than N1000 and you can buy it on konga.com or any major bookstore in Nigeria. I am also hawking it at the back of my car so if you see a funny man on the road selling books from the trunk of his car, don’t call the police, instead buy his books!

NOTE: You can also buy the book for yourself even though you are no longer a kid .. .but ssssh we won’t tell anyone.

Lastly thanks to all the people that made this book possible Eghosa Imasuen (Farafina), Uche Okonkwo (Farafina), Izie Igodan (One girl like this), Oghogho Omorotionmwan (the book inspiration), Sharee Miller (awesome illustrator) and all those people out there who see the beauty in their skin, thanks for inspiring the book and making it what it is.

Now go out and be awesome and buy the book!
